Group 1 Automotive Increases Quarterly Cash Dividend by 11.8 Percent
Board Increases Share Repurchase Authorization to $100 Million

HOUSTON, Nov. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE: GPI), an international, Fortune 500 automotive retailer, today announced that its board of directors declared a cash dividend of $0.19 per share for the third quarter of 2014.  The dividend, which represents an increase of 11.8 percent, or $0.02 per share, from the second quarter of 2014, will be payable on December 15, 2014, to stockholders of record on December 1, 2014.

Group 1's board of directors also increased the Company's common stock share repurchase authorization to $100.0 million.  Purchases may be made from time to time, based on market conditions, legal requirements and other corporate considerations, in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions.  The Company expects that any repurchase of shares will be funded by cash from operations.  Repurchased shares will be held in treasury.
